The Life of Jesus Christ
Jesus Christ is the Son of God and our Savior. His ministry from birth to death was entirely for us, fulfilling God's will on earth.
From Birth to Ministry
Jesus came into the world as a baby, born to Mary-a fthful woman. When He arrived, angels and signs appeared, enabling believers to locate Him and show their devotion during His infancy. Scenes like this are often depicted in Christmas nativities.
Childhood of Wisdom
Even as a young adult at age 12, Jesus was engaging deeply with the religious leaders by teaching them, asking insightful questions that astounded all who heard him Luke 2:46-47. This demonstrates His early wisdom and deep understanding of God's teachings.
Initiation into Ministry
At the age of 30, Jesus embarked on his ministry by walking miles to the Jordan River to be baptized by John the Baptist. Despite being sinless, Jesus underwent baptism symbolically following John's authority. This action underscored obedience to God’s commandments and the proper method for baptism.
Jesus’ Baptism
Upon immersion in water, God proclmed Jesus as His beloved Son, expressing his joy Matthew 3:17. This event reinforced the importance of baptism by the right authority.
Wonders of Ministry
During his public ministry, Jesus performed extraordinary acts like healing the sick, restoring sight to the blind and even bringing dead people back to life. More profoundly, He forgave sins, challenging conventional religious norms that led to criticism from Jewish leaders. Despite this opposition, Jesus consistently aligned His actions with God’s will.
Crucifixion
The ministry of Jesus attracted significant backlash as it challenged societal and religious authorities. Many perceived his teachings as heretical, leading to his arrest and crucifixion-a sacrifice for the salvation of ity according to God's plan.
Resurrection and Eternal Life
Jesus was resurrected three days after His death, demonstrating that His spirit was reunited with a perfected physical body after death. As the first to experience resurrection, this act signifies our future hope of being resurrected too 1 Corinthians 15:22.
“I know that God lives. I know that He has a plan for saving me, and all His children. He died for me. He was resurrected and now lives agn so that we may also live agn one day.”
